Yes, there a many different styles of yoga & meditation. For example if you are looking for relaxation and stress relief you might want to look into classes that are slow moving that allows your body to move into a pose and hold. Research different styles.
Meet the Yoga & Meditation matt
Introduce yourself to the teacher before class if in person or private online.
This builds a repour with the teacher and also gives you a chance to let them know if you have any injuries or limitations.
This also gives you a chance to interview the teacher to see if you will be a good fit for their style.
Don’t stress
Yoga and meditation is your journey and yours alone. Remember when you are in class it isn’t a competition with others in the class and most importantly not a competition with yourself.
A good teacher will provide instructions to help you modify poses and help you on your journey.
